Taxi Schiphol Castricum
38,5 km to the airport · about 35 minutes outside rush hour
Castricum is two places at once: the village by the station, and the coast a few kilometres further on through the dunes.
Where are you heading?
What the price includes
One fare for both. Whether we collect you in the village or out at the coast, the amount does not change — we do not add those few kilometres through the dunes.
- Picked up in the village, in Bakkum, or at the coast — same amount.
- Out of season and at night as well; we drive here all year round.
- Child seats cost nothing. Tell us how many children are coming and how old.
- You settle up in the car, by card or in cash.

The village and the coast
The coast lies well outside the village, with nothing but dunes in between. Anyone staying or living there notices it with every kind of transport: the bus does not always run and the station is on the other side. We simply drive out there, and it costs the same as from the village.
In the summer season we also collect guests here who have spent a week by the sea and are travelling on. If you are booking for someone else, put the address of the stay in the form and add your own number — then we call the right person.
A taxi within Castricum itself
The station here is good: six trains an hour to Amsterdam and Alkmaar. But you have to get to it first, and from Bakkum or the dune side that is no stroll with a suitcase. We take you to the platform, or straight on if that suits better.
The coast is a different matter. The free Kustbus runs only during the spring and summer holidays, between ten in the morning and nine at night. Outside those times nothing goes that way, and that is exactly when people call us.
Also to the hospital, to family in Heemskerk or Uitgeest, or home after an evening out. There is no fixed fare for these — that exists only for the airport. The booking form works out the actual route and you see the amount before you commit to anything.

Questions about the ride from Castricum
What does a taxi from Castricum to Schiphol cost?
€ 100,- for a car carrying one to four passengers, € 120,- for the van from five people up. That amount applies both ways, day and night, on Sundays and public holidays as well. From the village, from Bakkum or from the coast it is the same amount.
Is the train not faster from Castricum station?
To Amsterdam, yes. To Schiphol, no: there is no direct train from Castricum, so it always means changing, and then you are about 42 minutes on the way from platform to platform. We take 35 from door to door, with the cases already in the car.
Do you collect from the coast as well?
Yes, and for the same amount as in the village. Castricum aan Zee has no residents — it is the name for the beach, the dunes and a few pavilions. The free Kustbus runs there only during the spring and summer holidays between 10:00 and 21:00; outside those times you cannot reach it by public transport.
Do you drive in the middle of the night from Castricum?
Yes, and with no surcharge. For an early morning flight we count back from the time you need to be at Schiphol — 35 minutes' drive outside the rush hour, plus the time you need once you are there.
Ready for your ride from Castricum?
From the village or from the dune side, day and night, for an amount that is settled.
