Privacy statement
We ask only for what we need in order to collect you and to be able to reach you. Below, form by form, is what that is, why, how long we keep it and who else sees it.
Three things this site does not do
In a privacy statement that matters just as much as what does happen.
- No cookies
- This site sets no cookies at all and stores nothing in your browser. That is also why you see no bar asking you to agree to anything.
- No measurement software
- There is no Google Analytics in it and no other counter of any kind. So we do not know which pages you look at or how long you stay.
- Nothing sold on
- Your details go to nobody for advertising, and are sold or rented to no party whatsoever.
The typeface on this site is loaded from our own server too, not fetched from Google. So while you are reading, your browser is in contact with nobody but us.
What we ask, and what for
When you book a ride
- What
- Pickup address, destination and any stops on the way, the date and time, the number of people, the type of car, your name, telephone number and email address, and — if you fill them in — your flight number and your note.
- Why
- Without these we cannot collect you. We use the flight number to see whether your aircraft is delayed.
- On what basis
- Performance of the contract
- Where it stays
- In our list of bookings, so the driver knows where to be.
When you pay online
- What
- The amount and a payment reference. We do not see your bank details.
- Why
- The payment runs through Mollie. We are told only whether it succeeded; your account number and login details stay with your bank and with Mollie.
- On what basis
- Performance of the contract
- Where it stays
- With Mollie, and with us only the reference for the payment.
When you request a quote
- What
- Your name, telephone number and email address, what kind of ride it is, from where to where, and anything else you want to tell us.
- Why
- To work out your ride and be able to give you a price.
- On what basis
- Your request, ahead of a contract
- Where it stays
- Only in the office mailbox. A quote request is not stored in our list of bookings.
When you send us a message
- What
- Your name, your question, and your email address or telephone number.
- Why
- To be able to answer you. Beyond that, nothing.
- On what basis
- Legitimate interest: answering your question
- Where it stays
- Only in the office mailbox.
Who else sees your details
This is the complete list. With each of these parties it is agreed that they use your details for our work and for nothing else. We process your details within the European Union, except where stated otherwise below.
- Mollie
- If you pay online, Mollie handles the payment.Receives: The amount, and whatever you enter at your bank.
- Resend
- Sends the confirmation emails and the notifications to the office.Receives: Your email address and the contents of that email.
- Google Maps
- Completes addresses as you type and looks up where an address actually is, so that we can work out the distance.Receives: The address you enter. Not your name and not your telephone number.
- OSRM
- Works out the actual route by road between two points.Receives: Coordinates only — two points on the map, without an address, a name or anything else you could be recognised by.
- Our hosting provider
- Runs the website and holds the list of bookings.Receives: Everything you enter, because that is simply where it is stored.
How long we keep it
- Bookings that were driven
- Seven years. A ride is a sale and belongs in our accounts; the Dutch tax authority requires us to keep those that long.
- Quote requests
- Up to a year after we have answered, unless a ride comes out of it — then the period above applies.
- Messages through the contact form
- Up to a year after your question is answered.
What you may ask for
You may ask what details we hold about you, have them corrected if something is wrong, have them erased, or object to what we do with them. You may also ask us to hand them to you in a file.
Ring or email us and we will arrange it. We will ask you for something that lets us be sure it is you — otherwise we might hand your details to a stranger.
A ride that has already been driven we cannot take out of our accounts: those seven years are not a choice of ours.
If you and we cannot resolve it, you may complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch data protection authority. We would rather hear it first ourselves, but you have that right either way.
