Where are you heading?
If the flight shifts, we stay put
That is what makes this ride different from an ordinary airport taxi. An aircraft landing forty minutes late is no exception, and then the question is whether your car is still there or whether you have to order all over again.
With us it is there. The first half hour we do not charge for. If it runs on beyond that the waiting rate starts — but you are not left without transport and you do not have to arrange anything again. Give us your flight number when you book and we follow the flight.
Departures 2, exit F
At Schiphol we wait on the upper roadway at Departures 2, exit F. You walk out there and see the car standing — no car park and no searching.
If you are arriving rather than leaving, give us your flight number. We follow the landing and are there once you are through customs, even if the aircraft is late.

What the ride costs
One way, the same amount in both directions. With no surcharge for the night, the weekend or a public holiday.
- Car
- € 280
- 1 to 4 people
- Van
- € 330
- 5 to 8 people, with offshore kit
Both amounts are VAT included. The first half hour of waiting is part of it; after that the statutory maximum waiting rate of € 59,41 per hour.
One terminal, one address

Luchthavenweg 10A, Den Helder
One terminal building, with check-in desks, security, customs and passport control. The helicopters to the platforms and the wind farms leave from there; CHC and NHV fly out of it.
85 km, about 1 hr 15
From Schiphol via the ring road and the A7. Outside the rush hour that is a reliable figure; we work back from the time you need to be there, not from the moment you would like to leave.
Not going to Den Helder Airport but to a ship in IJmuiden? That is a different ride with a price of its own — see our page about crew change in IJmuiden.
From Schiphol to the terminal
- 1
Book with your flight number
That number is all we need in order to follow the landing. Without it we drive to the time you give us, and that stops being right the moment the aircraft shifts.
- 2
We are there when you land
Even when it runs late. The first half hour of waiting we do not charge for; if it runs on beyond that the waiting rate starts — but you are not left without transport and you do not have to order again.

Set down outside the terminal
Luchthavenweg 10A. Den Helder Airport has one terminal building, so you do not have to work out which hall you need. Check-in, security and passport control are all inside it.
Frequently asked questions
What does the ride cost?
€ 280 for a car with one to four people and € 330 for the van with five to eight, both one way and VAT included. The first half hour of waiting is included; if it takes longer, the statutory maximum waiting rate of € 59,41 per hour applies from then on. No surcharge for the night, the weekend or a public holiday.
What happens if my flight lands late?
Then the driver stays put. The first half hour we do not charge for. If it runs on beyond that the waiting rate starts — but you are not left without transport and you do not have to order a new ride. Give us the flight number when you book and we follow the flight.
How long does the ride take?
About an hour and a quarter from Schiphol, over eighty-five kilometres. Outside the rush hour that is a reliable figure; northbound in the morning rush it rarely jams, but around Amsterdam it can build up. We work back from the time you need to be there.
Where at the airport do you set us down?
At the terminal building on the Luchthavenweg 10A. Den Helder Airport has one terminal, with check-in desks, security, customs and passport control; the helicopter operators fly from there.
How much luggage can come along?
The car takes four people with their cases. From five people the Mercedes V-Class drives: eight seats with the luggage in the boot rather than on anyone’s lap. Offshore kit is bulky, and that car is built for it.
Do you drive back from Den Helder to Schiphol as well?
Yes, at the same amount per one-way trip. For a crew that is relieved on a fixed day we would rather make one arrangement than a separate booking each time — do ring for that, it works faster than a form.
Flying out of Den Helder Airport?
Give us your flight number, the number of people and the date, and we will work back to when we need to be at Schiphol.
