Lelystad Airport today handles business traffic and private flights, plus gliding and flying schools. There are no holiday flights. The cabinet decided on 30 January 2026 that they may come, and the minister is aiming for October 2027.
We mention it because there are taxi firms already advertising holiday flights from Lelystad today. Anyone booking on that basis arrives at a terminal where nothing departs.
What is there: the Aviodrome. That aviation museum sits on the grounds and makes a day out in itself — with a group in the van it is an ordinary ride for us.

When the fare does not apply
A fixed fare belongs to a fixed ride. If the ride differs from that, we charge the actual kilometres — that is fairer than stretching a fare until it means nothing.
- With a stop on the way the route becomes longer than this fare covers; the booking form then works out the actual route.

Can I fly on holiday from Lelystad?
Not at the moment. The cabinet decided on 30 January 2026 that Lelystad Airport may open to passenger flights, and the minister is aiming for October 2027. Until then only business and private flights depart. If you are going on holiday this year, that will be from Schiphol or Eindhoven.
Where do you set us down?
At the General Aviation Terminal, Arendweg 7. That is where passengers get in and out; the airport office is on the Emoeweg and you do not need to be there. If you are going to the Aviodrome, we drive up to the entrance.
Will you drive a group to the Aviodrome as well?
Yes. Eight people fit in the Mercedes V-Class. For more than eight we put on more than one vehicle; ask us for a price and they will travel together.
How long does the ride to Lelystad Airport take?
Eighty kilometres from Heemskerk, a good hour. The route runs along the A9 and the A6 past Almere. Around Amsterdam it can build up in the peak; we allow for that when setting the pickup time.
How do I pay?
With the driver, cash or card in the car. The amount is already settled the moment you book, so nothing is added afterwards.
How many of us can travel?
Up to four people in a sedan or estate, five to eight in the van. Both amounts are in the table above; you choose how many are travelling when you book.
Is luggage included in the price?
Yes. Suitcases, a folding wheelchair or a pushchair come along at no extra cost. Child seats are free as well — tell us at booking how many children are travelling and how old they are, and they will be ready.
When do I know the ride is confirmed?
