Eight seats, and the luggage behind them

The Mercedes V-Class has eight seats with enough room behind them, so nothing has to go on anyone's lap. That sounds obvious, but it is exactly where it goes wrong when a group is split between two ordinary taxis: the luggage does not fit and someone always ends up with a case between their knees.

People: 5 to 8; Under five the ordinary car works out cheaper.
Luggage: For eight travellers; Cases in the back, not on your lap.
Child seats: Free of charge; Give the number and ages when you book.

Are there more than eight of you? Then it will not fit in one vehicle and we put on two. Ask us for a price for that — we charge that as one job and not as two separate rides.

What the van costs

Van fares to Schiphol

Fixed amounts, the same both ways. No surcharge for the night, the weekend or the luggage. The van is € 20,- above the car fare everywhere — the same difference for every town, so you can work it out yourself.

What we drive the van for

Usually these four

A family on holiday: Four adults, two children and two weeks' worth of cases. That does not fit in an ordinary car; in the van it does — and the child seats cost nothing.
Friends going away together: Six or seven people leaving from one address. One amount you can split between you, rather than two separate rides.
Staff to the airport: Colleagues travelling together. We put the invoice in the company name; add the details in the remarks field when you book.
Off the ship and onward: A party coming off the ferry or a cruise ship at IJmuiden and travelling on to Schiphol or a hotel in Amsterdam.
